First stand-alone casino in Virginia, Rivers Casino Portsmouth, owned and managed by Chicago-based Rush Street Gaming , publicly announced $24.7 million in gaming income in its first full month of operation, according to the Virginia Lottery Board. Both Virginia's casinos bring high revenues to the state: According to the board's February activity report that was officially unveiled Wednesday, the casino made a total of $38.4 million in profits from the two operating casinos in Virginia .
